Cream and Free Mints
What Cream is, what it pays for and how much each action costs, how to get it, and how the free mint ticket for new creators works.
Cream is mallow's minting credit. Paying with Cream covers the whole cost of a mint: the mallow fee, the Solana account rent, the Metaplex fee and the network fee. You spend Cream and no SOL.
A free mint ticket does the same for one mint. Every creator gets one when they're approved.
What Cream Pays For

When you collect an edition or make a draw, Cream replaces the minting cost only. You still pay the artwork's price.

Paying With Cream
Wherever Cream can be used, the payment step shows your Cream balance.
- Minting, editing and airdropping: under Pay using, choose Cream. The cost changes to an amount in Cream
- Collecting an edition or drawing: tick Use 1 Cream to pay for minting costs. The number changes with the quantity you pick
When you collect or draw, the Cream option is hidden if it can't be used:
- You have no Cream
- You're paying in a different token from the one the sale is priced in
- The edition is free to collect
- A Gumball or Jellybean is in an allowlist phase. Cream works in the public phase only
- The Gumball holds pre-minted artworks, so the draw mints nothing
If your balance is too low for the action, the transaction isn't sent and you see "Insufficient Cream".
Getting Cream
Cream is bought with SMORES, which you earn by using mallow.
- Open the Shop and choose Cream Fill
- Pick the pack of 10 or 50. The page shows the SMORES cost
- Select Top-up and approve the transaction in your Solana wallet
Your balance appears under Cream in the wallet menu.
Limits
- 50 Cream per wallet. Top-up is disabled when a pack would take you past 50, and the page shows "Balance cannot exceed 50". The pack of 50 can only be bought with a balance of 0
- Not transferable. Cream stays with the wallet that bought it, so buy it with the wallet you mint from
- No refunds
- Packs can sell out. The button then reads Sold out
Free Mint Ticket
A free mint ticket pays the whole cost of one mint, the same way Cream does.
Who gets one: each creator receives one ticket, once per account, when mallow approves their creator application. The mallow team can also grant tickets directly.

How to use it:
- Check the wallet menu for Free mint ticket. It shows how many you hold and opens the Create page
- Start a 1/1 artwork or Editions mint and keep Metaplex Core selected. A gift icon with your ticket count marks that option
- On the last step, tick Use my Free Mint Ticket to pay for minting costs. The cost changes to 1 Free Mint Ticket
- Select Mint token and approve the transaction
The ticket is used up when the mint confirms. If you choose Metaplex Legacy, the ticket option doesn't appear.
