What are Raffles?

In partnership with Famous Fox Federation, mallow offers Raffles, a lottery-style distribution system where collectors purchase tickets for a chance to win your artwork. Unlike direct sales, raffles create excitement through anticipation and give every ticket purchased an equal chance to win.

This page is for sellers. Collectors should read Raffles, which covers buying tickets, the draw and claiming a prize.

Key Features

  • Chance-Based Distribution

Every ticket has an equal chance to win, creating fair opportunities for all collectors.

  • Flexible Duration

Choose from preset durations (24h to 2 weeks) or set custom end times to match your strategy.

  • Ticket Economics

Set ticket supply (3-10,000) and pricing to optimize your Total Ticket Value (TTV).

  • Fair Access Controls

Per-wallet limits (max 40% of supply) ensure no single collector can dominate the raffle.

  • Holder-Only Mode

Create exclusive raffles accessible only to collectors of specific creators or collections.

  • Physical Rewards

Show that the prize comes with a physical artwork, with an optional unlock price. You arrange delivery with the winner yourself.

Raffle End Time

Choose how long you want your raffle to run:

  • 24 hours - Standard duration for most raffles
  • 36 hours - Extended duration option
  • 48 hours - Weekend-friendly duration
  • 1 week - Longer duration for high-value items
  • 2 weeks - Maximum duration for special events

You can also set a custom end date and time for your raffle to end (all times are in your local timezone).

Ticket Supply

Set the total number of tickets available for your raffle:

  • Minimum: 3 tickets
  • Maximum: 10,000 tickets
  • Rent fee: A small SOL fee is required to create the raffle (refundable at the end of the raffle)

Ticket Pricing

  • Currency: Choose between SOL, USDC, or other supported tokens
  • Ticket price: Set the price per individual ticket
  • Total Ticket Value (TTV): Automatically calculated based on ticket supply and price

Ticket Limit Per Wallet

Optionally set a limit on how many tickets each wallet can purchase:

  • Default limit: Leave blank to use the platform's default limit
  • Maximum limit: Cannot exceed 40% of the total ticket supply

Holder-Only Mode

Enable this feature to create a raffle only accessible to collectors of certain creators:

  • Fee: 1 SOL fee taken at the time of raffle creation. Fees lists this and the fee taken from ticket proceeds
  • Access control: Restrict participation to holders of specific collections or creators

Physical Artwork

  • Include physical artwork with sale - Check this if you're selling a physical piece along with the NFT
    • Describe any pertinent shipping details the collector should know about
    • Optionally upload a photo of the physical piece to show collectors what they're getting
  • Unlock price - Optionally show an unlock price for the physical on the listing

mallow doesn't collect a raffle winner's shipping address, so say in your notes how the winner should contact you. See Physicals for how physical artworks work across sale formats.
