Marketplace
How to browse, buy, bid, make offers, list, and mint on mallow from inside the wallet, and which of these the iOS app leaves out.
The wallet is also a way into mallow.art. The same artworks, listings, profiles, and curations are in both, and a sale made in one shows in the other. mallow's marketplace runs on Solana, so everything on this page applies to Solana artworks.
The iOS app has no buying, selling, minting, or swapping
Because of App Store rules, the iOS app doesn't show these features. Browsing, transfers, and everything you need to get out of a sale you already started are still there. The full list is under What the iOS app leaves out. The Android app and mallow.art have all of them.
Browsing
The home tab is the mallow feed. From the top it shows Your daily spotlight (artworks from your own collection), then Popular curations, Recommended for you, Discover, Featured listings, Trending artists, and Popular collections.
The magnifying glass opens search. Type to find users, artworks, collections, curations, and tokens, or browse by Listing type (Auction, Buy now), under Browse (1/1s, Editions, Curations, Exhibitions), or by Categories. Pasting a mallow.art link takes you straight to that artwork, collection, or profile.
Tap an artwork to open its page. The panel at the bottom shows its sale state (price, current bid, time left) and the actions open to you.

On iOS the artwork page still shows the price, the bids, and the offers. It just has no button to act on them, and no link out to the sale. Offers you receive are listed in the offers inbox, but you accept them on Android or on mallow.art.
Nothing is stranded. An artwork you listed, an offer you placed, or an auction you won on the web or on Android can still be cancelled, settled, or claimed from iOS.
Buying
Android only.
- Open the artwork and tap Buy. For an edition, tap Buy edition.
- Check Confirm Purchase. It lists the price, the mallow fee, the network fee, and the total.
- Tap Buy Now.
The app pays from your active Solana wallet. If more than one of your wallets could pay, the sheet shows Your wallet with a Switch link to pick another. If the wallet doesn't hold enough, the app says how much more it needs and doesn't start the purchase.
The button can also tell you why a sale is closed: Sale not started, Sale ended, Sold out, Not allowlisted, or Wallet limit reached.
If the listing includes a physical item, the app can't collect your shipping address. Contact the seller to arrange delivery, or buy on mallow.art and enter your address at checkout.
Buying has more on how sales work, and Fees lists the amounts.
Bidding
Android only for placing bids.
- Open the auction and tap Place bid.
- Enter your bid. The sheet shows the minimum, the current highest bid, the minimum increment, and how late bids extend the auction.
- Tap Next, then Place Bid.
When the auction ends, the artwork and the payment stay in escrow until someone settles it. On both platforms, the winner sees Claim NFT and the seller sees Settle auction. If there were no bids, the seller sees Reclaim NFT.
See Bidding and Auctions for the rules.
Offers
Making and accepting offers is Android only.
To make an offer, open an artwork and tap Make offer, enter the amount, and tap Place Offer. The amount is held in escrow until the offer is accepted or you cancel it. A small Solana rent deposit is added, and comes back when the offer ends. You can change it with Update offer or withdraw it with Cancel offer.
The offers inbox is under your account name, in Offers:
- Received lists offers and bids on your artworks. Tap View on an offer to open Accept Offer, which shows what you'll receive after the mallow fee and creator royalties.
- Sent lists offers and bids you placed. Tap Cancel to withdraw an offer. A bid has no cancel button; View opens its auction.
Offers from accounts you blocked are hidden from the list, but they're still live on-chain. See Offers.
Sales the app only shows
Some sales appear in the app but aren't run there, on either platform:
- Gumball, Jellybean, airdrops, and store listings. The artwork page says the sale runs on the mallow web app. On Android, View on mallow web opens it.
- Raffles. You can see a raffle's state, and claim a prize or proceeds, but tickets are bought on mallow.art. On Android, View on mallow.art opens it.
- Listings on other marketplaces. An artwork listed on another marketplace has no buy or cancel button in the app. Other marketplaces explains which of those listings can be bought on mallow.art.
Listing
Android only for creating and repricing. Cancelling works on both.
- Open an artwork you own and tap List artwork, or tap the lightning bolt and choose Sell.
- Under Create Sale, choose Auction or Fixed Price.
- Fill in the steps: currency and price, and for an auction the reserve, the start, and the duration. Then review the listing and confirm it.
If the app shows Verify to list instead, your account can't list that artwork yet. Listing your own new work needs creator approval and a complete profile (a username, a profile picture, and a connected X account). See Becoming a creator.
To manage a live listing, open the artwork. Update listing changes the price, and Cancel listing takes it down. An auction can be cancelled with Cancel auction until the first bid arrives. While an artwork is listed it can't be transferred or burned.
The options are the same as on the web: Auctions and Fixed price.
Minting and editing
Minting is Android only. Editing works on both.
Tap the lightning bolt and choose Mint, then pick 1/1 artwork, Editions, or Collection. The steps cover the files, the name and description, categories and traits, and royalties, and end with a review.
Everything minted in the wallet uses the Metaplex Core standard. To mint a Metaplex Legacy artwork, use mallow.art/create. See Minting for what each field means.
To change an artwork you created, open it, tap the three dots, and choose Edit artwork. A collection's own three-dot menu has Edit collection and Add artworks.
Profiles, curations, and notifications
These need a mallow profile. See Linking your wallet to a mallow profile.
- Profiles. Open your own from Profile under your account name. A profile has Created, Listed, Collections, Curations, and Owned tabs, and a Follow button.
- Curations. Open an artwork's three-dot menu, choose Add to curation, then pick a curation or tap New Curation. Your curations are on your profile and on the art tab.
- Notifications. Notifications under your account name lists bids, auction results, sales, offers, raffle results, airdrops, follows, likes, and new listings from artists you follow. For push notifications as well, turn on Push Notifications in Settings.
When something does not go through
- Not confirmed yet means the network had not confirmed the transaction when the app stopped waiting. Check your activity before trying again.
- Temporarily unavailable means mallow has switched that action off for now. See A server can block signing, but never cause it.
- A watch-only wallet can't buy, bid, or list. Import its key first.
